A professor at the School of Mechanical Science and Engineering, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, he has long been engaged in research on mechanical dynamics and control as well as intelligent robotics, making significant contributions to the development of China’s equipment technology. He has received two National Technology Invention Awards and one National Science and Technology Progress Award. He was selected for the national “Hundred-Thousand-Million Talent Project,” is a Special-Class Expert in Hubei Province, and has been awarded the Guanghua Engineering Science and Technology Award and the National Innovation and Excellence Award. In 2025, he was honored with the title of “National Advanced Worker.”
